I would like to comment on a number of operating systems. I find that the best one is all relative to what you want to use your computer for. If, for instance, you want high-end graphics and a pretty look, you should get Mac OS X. If you want a computer with lower than average system requirements to run efficiently, I would suggest a small Linux distro such as SLAX or PC Linux OS. If you would prefer an operating system with good system requirements (80+ GB harddrive, 2.33+ GHz processor, 512+ MB RAM), and you want to use it for word processing, powerpoints, and maybe some gaming, with a great feel and a fun experience, Ubuntu Linux is the way to go. If you want a server with great networking utilities, I would recommend another Linux distro such as Redhat with Fedora Core. If you want to play solitaire, Windows has you covered.

I like it Dan. My choice is Mac at home because I want to, PC at work because I have to but use FOSS where I can, and openSUSE on my laptop because I can and it’s fun. Thanks for commenting.
